I have not made a post on this blog that I started a couple years ago and have been wanting to for some time, if for no other reason than some kind of “for posterity” thing. So above is the first picture ever taken of me. I was born on June 25, 1970 at 6:45 PM at St, Joseph’s hospital in Victoria BC Canada. I was given the name Damon, the meaning of the name is a little varying depending on where you look but “tamer” and “peace maker” are common words used to explain what my name means.

My Mother chose the name because of the story of Damon and Pythias, and another link to the Wikipedia page that describes that.
There is another Damon who has historical significance that I find interesting that dates back further…and again a link.
That little guy in the picture is now me almost 53 years later…and so, hello my name is Damon, have we ever met? No? I would be happy for you to know me for who I am…
